What is the program?
The South Shore Literacy Council Mother Goose Program is a pre-literacy singing program for parents and their children ages 0-4 specifically structured to provide:

Parent-Child Interaction

Language Acquisition

Socialization
In a weekly 1 hr session, professionally trained animators model orals traditions of songs, interactive rhymes, story and circle games.
Thanks to the generosity of the South Shore Literacy Council and its community partners, the program is offered free of charge to participants!

Anne Mackay
Program Coordinator
Since 2022, Anne has been the Program Coordinator. Her favorite aspect of Mother Goose is site visits and seeing all the extraordinary families.
Laurel Aumand Hewitt
Senior Animator
For over a decade, Laurel has been brightening the lives of families with her extraordinary devotion and skill. Her mango song has universal appeal!
Jana Johnson Doucet
Animator
Jana is a program participant who graduated to animator. She's the embodiment of joy and inclusion. Ask her to sing the firetruck song...
